Monday — A Lincoln Electric 180C welder was stolen between Wednesday and Monday from a storage trailer at Semper Concrete on Route 422 in Franklin Township.11:11 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Shane McCommon, 18, ofButler crashed into a yard and hit a gas meter along Route 422 in Franklin Township.6:46 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Joshua Kelly, 18, of Pitcairn, Allegheny County, crashed into several trees along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Police cited Kelly for driving too fast for conditions.4:12 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Samantha Eichenberger, 18, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, and Brian DiLuzio, 24, of Erie collided on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. DiLuzio was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police citedEichenberger for driving too fast for conditions.

2:40 a.m. Saturday — Chad David Caldwell, 23, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 268 near Lemmon Hollow Road in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Police said Caldwell, in addition to DUI, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
