In response to Heidi Marie

Heidi Marie makes a correct and astute statement regarding the connection between criminal acts and the illegalization of drugs. When drugs are illegal, artificial price premiums are created to off-set the risk of doing business in an illegal good where one can be imprisoned or fined. These price premiums entice addicts to commit crimes in order to amass enough money to buy their expensive daily fix. It's relatively a rare occurrence that someone is found stealing to buy cigarettes or alcohol, with legalization the same may become true with respect to illicit drugs.
