Deemer 60th anniversary
Oran and Catherine Deemer of Zelienople celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with an open house given by their family at St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople.
The former Catherine Zinkham married Deemer on Aug. 16, 1947, at Oak Grove Lutheran Church in New Sewickley.
They have three children, Kathie Brown of Harmony, Lynn Bungar of New Castle and Kenneth Deemer of Valencia.
They also have eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deemer is retired from Johns Mansville and BNZ. He also worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 40 years. He is a member of the Evans City Sportsmen Club and an instructor for Hunter and Trapper Education Courses.
Mrs. Deemer is a homemaker. She belongs to the Keenagers of Portersville and is a card club member.
The couple belongs to St. Peter's Reformed Church.
