12:39 p.m. Wednesday — No injuries were reported when a bicycle ridden by Tyler Henricks, 14, of Butler ran into the side of a car at North Main and East Brady streets. Witnesses told police the crash occurred when the boy failed to stop at a traffic light. Donna Hayden, 53, of East Butler was driving the car.1:15 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Adam Coddington, 23, of Butler skidded on the rain-soaked road and slid into a guardrail and fence at South Cliff Street and Center Avenue.Police said the crash damaged 20 feet of guardrail and 30 feet of fence, owned by the city. Coddington was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — Paul Schulz reported that sometime overnight stole a ceramic lion valued at $100 from the porch of his East Brady Street home. He said another ceramic lion was moved to the middle of his yard.Wednesday — Someone between 2 and 8 p.m. stole 40 letters from a sign board at 502 W. Jefferson St. The loss in the theft is estimated at $100.Wednesday — An unknown thief siphoned about $30 in gas from a vehicle at the South Monroe Street home of John Burkert.
10:40 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Leslie Alan McGinnis, 50, of Parker crashed into a ditch along Slater Road in Allegheny Township. McGinnis, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police suspect speed and alcohol were possible factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.9:10 p.m. Wednesday — Ryan Baker, 21, of Muddy Creek Township was injured when his pickup crashed off Route 19 and hit a house.Baker, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter with moderate injuries to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh; his condition was not known this morning.Tenants in the rental home, owned by Ruby McNichol of Portersville, were in the house when the pickup crashed, but were not injured.1:50 p.m. Tuesday — William Matthews, 47, of Butler is accused of violating a protection from abuse order at the home of a 50-year-old woman at her Muddy Creek Township home.Monday — Someone between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. stole the registration plate off a boat trailer at McDanel's Boat Launch, Moraine State Park in Muddy Creek Township. Two lights on the trailer, owned by Michael Tusay Jr. of Irwin, Westmoreland County, were also damaged.
