Parry, Wellen

Katie and Andy Wellen

Collegeville residents Katie Parry and Andy Wellen were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 28 at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. George Palick officiated. A reception followed at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry Township.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Eileen Parry of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are William and Beverly Wellen of West Chester.

The matron of honor was Sharon Knaub of York. Bridesmaids included Jessica Bechtold of Ocean City, N.J.; Lauren Trievel of Kansas City, Mo.; Amanda Wadsworth of New Orleans; and Cindy Wellen of West Chester. The flower girl was Paige Knaub of York.

Performing the duties of best man was Bill Wellen of Exton. Ushers included Dave Wellen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mark Knaub of York; Jason Weston of Norristown; and Randy Whiteside of Wintergarden, Fla.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School, a 2002 graduate of Penn State University and a 2005 graduate of Bloomsburg University.

The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Council Rock High School and in 2001 from Penn State University. He is employed at Merck in Lansdale.

Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple is making their home in Collegeville.
