Rettig 60th anniversary
Floyd and Virginia Rettig of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a Caribbean cruise in February. They also celebrated with a recent family picnic at the home of their daughter, Karen Blum.
The former Virginia Williams married Rettig Aug. 1, 1947, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have four children, Phyllis Kaltenbaugh, Leroy Rettig, Karen Blum and Dennis Rettig, all of Butler.
They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rettig is retired after 46 years of work as an electrician. He was employed for 18 years with V.J. Laughlin and 28 years for Fuellgraf Electric. He enjoys playing cards.
Mrs. Rettig is a homemaker.
The Rettigs have been members of the BUCO Trailer Club for 42 years. They are also members of a card club and St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Rettig is active in the Three T's, Ladies Circle and Helping Hands groups.
