Butler County Area Agency on Aging is now distributing Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers.

County seniors who have not yet applied for vouchers for 2007 can apply from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at the office, Sunnyview Home, Building 3.

Vouchers cannot be mailed. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Consumers must provide verification of age and residency. Homebound consumers may complete a proxy form.

The Butler YWCA's preschool Montessori program has been moved to the rear of the Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St.The location will offer more space and parking.Registration is now being accepted at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St. For costs and schedules, call 724-287-5709.

The 2007 Walk, Run, Roll and Caring Rally, presented by Maher Duessel Certified Public Accounts, will be held Aug. 19 at Alameda Park.Participants are encouraged to raise donations to support several Community Care Connections programs.Registration begins at 10 a.m. and participants will receive a free T-shirt.A prize will be awarded to the participant who raises the most donations.A picnic will begin at noon, and families should take a covered dish.For details, contact Melanie Mitro at 724-283-3198 or register online at www.communitycareconnect.org.

BRADYS BEND — The Bradys Bend Historical Society will hold its annual quilt show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at St. Stephens Old Stone Church.The event will include a raffle drawing for two quilts and other items.Ribbons will be awarded in several categories.Those wishing to display new or antique quilts should take them to the church from 9 to 3 p.m. Aug. 17. BRADY TWP — A memorial and benefit ride will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Switchback Raceway, Route 8.Proceeds will benefit the family of Dennis Davis, who was killed in a dirt bike accident.

FINDLAY TWP — The Findley Township Civic League will host a summer picnic Aug. 11 at the Mercer County Grange fairground. Elected officials and candidates are urged to attend.Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Participants should take their own table service and a dish to share. Hamburgers and corn will be provided.
