Mary A. Larimore

Larimore

Mary Ann Larimore, 78, of Haysville Road, Karns City, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Chicora Medical Center. She died at peace with her loving family by her side after losing a battle to cancer.

Born in Kittanning Hollow, Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, Feb. 12, 1929, she was a daughter of William Andrew and Blandi Irene Salsgiver Hiles.

She was a homemaker and formerly was a level vial maker at W.A. Moyer & Son in Parker.

Mrs. Larimore was a member of the Fairview United Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Butler Chapter 45 and was a former member of OES Chicora Chapter 354. She was a past mother adviser of the Chicora Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She also belonged to the AARP.

An avid camping enthusiast, she was a member of the NCT, Penn West 23 and the Sunny Travelers and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada.

She enjoyed and was very proud of her grandchildren. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting, and she was an avid sports fan.

Surviving are her loving husband, Claude Dean "Speed" Larimore, whom she married July 24, 1947; a daughter, Patricia Jean "Patsy" Larimore of Karns City; a son and his wife, Michael Dean Larimore and Donna Kay of Karns City; two grandchildren, Alison Dawn Perry and her husband, Vance "Skip" Perry, of Richmond, Va., and Andrew Michael Larimore of Karns City; three sisters, Mildred Buzzard of Butler, Rosann Hiles of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Esther Senopole and her husband, James, of Butler; a brother and his wife, Lloyd Hiles and Loretta of Sun City, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Roy Hiles, who died April 3, 1996, and George Hiles, who died May 10, 2002.

<B>LARIMORE </B>— Friends of Mary Ann Larimore, who died Sunday, July 1, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jacqueline Bish, a retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, pa 16001.
