Graduates
Chiara Laconi of Butler graduated magna cum laude from Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish.While at the university, she was named to the Dean's List eight consecutive semesters. She was also a two-time recipient of the Presidential Scholar Award and received Modern Languages and Cultures Outstanding Senior Award in BSED Spanish.Laconi was a member of the Sigma Delta Phi honorary fraternity and the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society. She served as a tutor for other students and completed a study abroad program at the Universidad de Alcala, in Alcala de Heneres, Spain.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, she has accepted a position with State Farm Insurance and plans to pursue a master's degree in business and finance.

<B>Shannon Devore</B> of Butler graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree in human resource management.The daughter of Russ and Beverly Evans of Harrisville and Mike and Pam Devore of Grove City, she is a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.She works as a department manager at Target in Butler Township.———
