CENTER TWP — A square dance and country dinner will be held Friday at New Haven Court at Clearview, 100 New Haven Lane, to benefit the Butler County Humane Society.

The dinner will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and dancing will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The dance will feature square dancing demonstrations by the Keystone Squares.

Admission is free and donations will be accepted for the humane society. Reservations are required by calling 724-477-8701.

BUTLER TWP — The second annual Footprints in the Heart benefit remembrance walk will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Butler County Community College.Registration for the event will begin at 8 a.m.Proceeds from the walk benefit the Paul Laurence Dunbar Community Center. The event is sponsored by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home.

BUTLER TWP — Reservations are now being accepted for a bus trip Aug. 15 to visit the Presque Isle Downs and Casino and tour an area winery.The bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. from Butler Township Park and will return at 7:30 p.m.Cost is $35 and includes bonuses for the casino trip. PITTSBURGH — Nominations are now being accepted for Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh's Power of Work Awards, which honor employers that help those with special needs overcome barriers to work.Employers of all sizes in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties are eligible. Employers may nominate themselves.Winners will be announced at the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association Conference and Exhibition Sept. 25 and 26.
