Monday — Police charged William Low Jr., 26, of Nescopeck, Luzerne County, with bad checks, stemming from a $1,813 check written in July on a closed account that he passed on to Dubrook, Inc. on Bantam Avenue.

10:12 p.m. Friday — Isaac Williams Jr., 51, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on New Castle Road. Police also cited Williams for driving with a suspended license and careless driving.

12:30 p.m. Tuesday — Casey Pistorius, 18, of Harrisville allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old girl during a fight at a MillerRoad home in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Pistorius, accused of grabbing the girl by the jaw and pushing her, is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.Tuesday — Police reported that Margaret Walker, 44, of Kittanning was cited for cruelty to animals after she allegedly left her dog in a car with the windows up for a three-hour period, beginning at 4:30 p.m. April 4 at Boscov's parking lot, Clearview Mall in Center Township.Police in the same case also cited Heather Walker, 18, of Kittanning for disorderly conduct after allegedly screaming obscenities at mall security employees.8 p.m. Saturday — More than $3,000 was stolen from the bank account of a Worth Township man. Police said the theft was committed through an illegal transaction on the account, but released no other details.Saturday—Two Butler area boys are accused of stealing $6 from an employee's tip jar at Prospect Pizza in Prospect. Police said the crime was caught on the store's surveillance camera. The boys, 14 and 17 years old, are charged with theft and conspiracy.

7:56 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Timothy Hahn, 20, of Danville, Montour County and Athena Fusco, 7, of New Castle collided on Route 208 at Country Fair in Springfield Township, Mercer County.11:10 p.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Wesley Roberts, 33, of Hubbard, Ohio, struck a tree along Route 965 near Wheeler Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. Roberts, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center.3 a.m. Friday — Katey Huling, 20, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into a tree at New Castle/Mercer and Cannery roads in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Huling, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an ankle injury.12:10 a.m. Friday — Stephen Gifford, 47, of Canton, Mich., was arrested for DUI on Route 208 near Veterans Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Police also cited Gifford for a lane violation and careless driving.
