The Schmidleys in 1957

Bruce and Donna Schmidley of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a surprise party given by their children at Mars VFW.

The former Donna Sieg married Schmidley July 20, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in Conway.

They have six children, Thomas Schmidley of Mars, John Schmidley of Arizona and Susan Huber, Timothy Schmidley, Nancy Stephens and Joseph Schmidley, all of Evans City.

They also have eight grandchildren.Schmidley is retired.Mrs. Schmidley is also retired.The couple belongs to Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township.
