Aquaette swimmers were practicing July 25, 1966, for the "WatermelonMan" presentation at Butler Memorial Park pool. Participating were, front row, from left, Harriet Wishney, Joann Burke, Jackie Youker and Phyllis Couch. Standing, from left, Linda Wellner, Kathy McMaster, Lucille Sinz, Ronnie Hill, Linda Gaddis, Mindy Rising, Cindy Shakely and Sue Doerr. Not pictured but taking part was Alice Feder. The group's performance was for the Butler City Recreation Department. The Butler High School synchronized swimming group is still around. Earlier this April, the group, made up of boys and girls, performed "Fire and Ice" at the high school pool. The group, as of April, had 33 female members and 10 "Aquastuds."
