Neil and Jessica Callahan

Jessica Houston of Butler and Neil Callahan of Hermitage were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. May 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. Peter Nordby and the groom's father, the Rev. Dan Callahan, officiated. A reception followed at the American Legion in Lyndora.

The bride is the daughter of John and Marie Houston of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Dan and Nancy Callahan of Erie, formerly of Butler.

The matron of honor was Jeannette Brown of Butler. Bridesmaids included Tanya Schnur of Butler; Jessica Morgan of El Paso, Texas; and Samantha Magee of Mebane, N.C. Junior bridesmaids were Karissa King of Butler and Emily Yothers of Greensburg. The flower girls were Danielle Callahan of Fredericksburg, Va., and Jaclyn King of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Jeff Kriley of Pittsburgh. Ushers included Tom Callahan of Fredericksburg; Brandon Butcher of Springfield, Mass.; and Shawn Magee of Mebane. The junior ushers were Eric King of Butler and Mitchel Yothers of Greensburg. Kevin King of Butler served as the ring bearer.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Butler High School; a 2000 graduate of California (Pa.)University, earning a bachelor's degree in education and a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a master's degree in education. She currently teaches fourth grade at Emily Brittain Elementary School in Butler.

The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Butler High School, in 1999 from Penn State University and in 2003 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He works as an optometrist in Hermitage.

Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple is making their home in Hermitage.
