Portersville Christian School is now accepting enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year.Classes are available for students entering pre-kindergarten through grade 12.Busing is provided for residents of several school districts. The next Reality Tour Drug Prevention Program will be presented at 6 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St., and Aug. 9 at the Mars Home for Youth in Adams Township.Registration is required and forms are available at www.realitytour.org.The program is designed for youth ages 10 and older when accompanied by a parent. The Butler County Chapter of the American Red Cross, 312 Mercer St., will hold a baby sitter training class from noon to 3 p.m. July 30 and 31.The class is open to youths ages 11 to 15 and offers information on injury prevention, first aid, basic child care, decision making and problem solving.The cost for the course has been reduced to $25 and includes a handbook and portfolio.For details or to register, call 724-283-2810, Ext. 223.

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host representatives of the Moraine Preservation Fund's volunteer group at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park.The group will discuss their Barn Owl Reintroduction Program.
