Friday — Eighteen vehicles were stopped and two people arrested for driving under the influence during roving DUI patrols in the county.In addition to the DUI arrests, five people were cited for underage drinking. Officers also arrested two people on drug-related charges and another for possessing a prohibited offensive weapon Additionally, officers issued 12 tickets for traffic offenses.
1:27 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Jenna Moose, 20, of Sarver and Kassie Lipscomb, 20, of Saxonburg collided at Neupert Road and Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Lipscomb and a passenger in Moose's car, Joshua Sasse, 20, of Cabot, suffered minor injuries.7:07 a.m. Tuesday — AGillig Corp. bus driven by Francis Fazio, 42, of New Castle and a car driven by Debra Onder, 45, of Meadville, Crawford County, collided on Route 108 in Worth Township. Onder was treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center.1:37 a.m. Tuesday — Charles Marsh, 26, of Cranberry Township was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 228 and Dutilh Road in Cranberry Township.8:50 a.m. Monday — Police were called to investigate the report of a bear that ran into the side of a Pennsylvania Game Commission-owned pickup truck on Branchton Road near Route 308 in Cherry Township.The pickup, driven by Todd Kline, 244, of Shippenville, Clarion County, had minor damage. Police said the bear ran from the crash site and there were no injuries.Monday — Adecorative yard lantern was stolen between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. from the Double Road home of Kevin Bergbigler in Connoquenessing Township.11 a.m. Saturday — Aneon blue Roadmaster bicycle was reported stolen from the Meadowbrook Lane home of Tina Fennick in Center Township.
8:38 p.m. Sunday — A Templeton couple was arrested for in connection with a domestic dispute at a Baum Station Road home in Boggs Township, Armstrong County.Paula Lou Sheasley, 52, is accused of biting Karl W. Jones, 42, on his right knee, hitting him in the forehead with a set of keys, and scratching him on the arm. Police said Jones allegedly pushed Sheasley to the ground.Sheasley is charged with simple assault and harassment. Jones is charged with harassment.
11:30 a.m. Tuesday — A10-year-old boy told police that an unknown man offered presents in an attempt to lure him into a pickup truck on Route 173 in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County. The boy rode his bicycle home and reported the attempted abduction.The suspect is described as white, in his 40s with a thin build, short hair and short beard. The man was driving a gold, small pickup with a black bed cover.Sunday — Jonathan Gildersleeve of Grove City reported that aSavage .17-caliber rifle with a Simmons scope was taken between 8 and 10:30 p.m. from his pickup truck at the parking lot of Pap's Place on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County
