OAKLAND TWP — Aroast beef dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Route 68.

The dinner will benefit Donna Young, who is undergoing treatment for cancer.

Cost is $7 or $7.50 for takeouts. The event will include a Chinese auction and a raffle.

KARNS CITY — Orders are now being sought for memorial bricks to be used in a new marquee in front of Karns City Junior-Senior High School.Cost is $25 per brick and order forms are available at all district schools. Forms should be returned to the district office by July 27. Checks can be made payable to KCASD.

HARMONY — Ashoe drive is being held until July 22 to collect shoes for residents of Latvia.Kelsey Shever of Ellwood City, a church member who will travel to Latvia for mission work in November, is requesting donations of new shoes, accompanied by monetary donations of $5.
