Dominic Virgallito of Butler celebrated his 80th birthday recently with a surprise dinner party at Butler Country Club.

Virgallito was born July 2, 1927, in Sharon. He married the former Rose Laughlin. She is deceased.

He has a son, Larry Virgallito of Manassas, Va.

Virgallito is the former principal of Connoquenessing and Broad Street elementary schools. He participated in barbershop singing and the Vagabond Drum Corps for many years.

He is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
