Claude and Alice McAnallen

Claude and Alice McAnallen of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a surprise picnic hosted by their children at their son's home. The couple has also planned a train trip and a visit to Niagara Falls.

The former Alice Timblin married McAnallen on July 15, 1957, at Alliance Church in Butler.

They have four children, Belinda Wagoner of Unionville; Brenda Guterry and Vince McAnallen, both of West Sunbury; and Carol Martinson of Lakeland, Fla.

They also have four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

McAnallen is retired from AKSteel.

Mrs. McAnallen is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Butler Outdoor Club.
