MARCHING ORDERS
In July of 1971, the Knoch High School band was headed to Miami where it would lead the Miss Universe parade, marching in front of the car carrying Miss USA, Knoch's own Michele McDonald. Band director John Gillespie is shown at center surrounded by band members. Three buses carried the 120-piece band south.
