Sandra Callander
Sandra K. Callander, 60, of Eau Claire died at 7:23 p.m. Friday at her home after a seven-month illness.
Born in St. Petersburg, Clarion County, June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of Martha June Best Fleming and the late John L. Fleming, who died Oct. 9, 2005.
A lifelong Christian lady, she was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Eau Claire.
She enjoyed daily Bible reading, motorcycling and four-wheeling with her husband, and tending to her vegetable and floral gardens.
Mrs. Callander was a 1964 graduate of Allegheny Clarion Valley School, which had been in Emlenton.
She is survived by her husband, David W. Callander, whom she married in 1964; two daughters, Julie Kiskadden and her husband, Rick, of Saegertown, Crawford County, and Sally Bell and her husband, Douglass, of Butler; a son, Matthew Callander and his wife, Doreen, of Branchburg, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Lindsey and Laurene Callander and Matthew Callander Jr.
Also surviving are her mother of Eau Claire; her mother-in-law, Ellen Callander of Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Sligo; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant twin sister and her father-in-law, Ronel Callander, who died in 2006.
<B>CALLANDER </B>— Friends of Sandra K. Callander, who died Friday, June 1, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street/Route 38, Eau Claire. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church in Eau Claire, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kathleen Soltis officiating. Burial will be at the Eau Claire Cemetery.
