4:39 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Donald Springer, 35, of Ligonier, Westmoreland County, and Shirley Doctor, 43, of Butler collided at East Jefferson and Stewart streets. The collision forced Doctor's vehicle into another car driven by Michelle Fraser, 30, of Butler.Doctor, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for unknown injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police cited Springer for careless driving.

10:06 p.m. Tuesday — Gary Stahlman, 45, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68.

Saturday — Six people were arrested for driving under the influence during a sobriety checkpoint detail on Route 19 in Jackson during which 415 vehicles were stopped. In addition to the DUI arrests, officers made one drug-related arrest and issued six traffic citations.

Monday — Someone stole a tool box containing assorted hand tools from a garage in a burglary at the Kelly Road home of Roy Bacorn in Worth Township. The break-in occurred between Oct. 12 and Monday. The stolen property is valued at $1,500.Monday — Several tools were taken from a garage between 10 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday in a burglary at the Cherry Valley Road home of Thomas Robins in Clinton Township.1:12 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Michael Covert, 22, of Grove City struck a guardrail and fence along Route 8 in Mercer Township. Police said Covert faces charges for driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations.

3:14 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Catherine Rowles, 21, of Bruin and Kelly Blauser, 36, of Butler collided on Route 58 near Havey Road in Foxburg, Clarion County. Police said Rowles, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.8:29 a.m. Wednesday — Chad Schooley, 20, of Harmony was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 66 in Redbank Township, Clarion County.Monday — Police charged Steven Ray Johnston, 19, of Rimersburg in connection with a fight last month on Main Street in Rimersburg.Johnston is accused of assaulting a 15-year-old Rimersburg girl in the fight about 8 p.m. June 23. Police did not identify the girl. Johnston ran away before officers arrived at the scene; he surrendered to authorities the following day.The defendant is charged with simple assault, harassment and underage drinking. Police said Johnston is being held in the Clarion County Jail for a probation violation.10:53 a.m. Sunday — Jeremy Mechling, 25, of Parker was arrested for allegedly punching, kicking and choking Crystal Wolfe, 23, of Parker during a domestic dispute at a Doc Walker Road home in Perry Township, Clarion County.Mechling was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Clarion County Jail on $5,000 bond.

7:59 p.m. Monday — Jessica R. Smith, 23, of Herman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs on Route 422 in Worthington, Armstrong County.10:59 p.m. Monday — A cutting torch valued at $267 was stolen from Greco Gas Inc. in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.

12:55 a.m. Wednesday — Jennifer Weller, 23, of Ellwood City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car crashed on Ellwood Road in Slippery Rock Township. Weller, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered unknown injuries.
