Donald N. "Neal" Tidwell, 62, of West Sunbury, formerly of Pittsburgh, died at 6:37 p.m. Saturday at his home after a long illness.

Born Feb. 14, 1945, in Nashville, Tenn., he was the son of the late Karl Donald and Helen Cseay Tidwell.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Upper St. Clair and attended the First United Methodist Church in Butler.

Mr. Tidwell was a retired professor and musician at Duquesne University. He played the tuba with the River City Brass Band in Pittsburgh and the New Orleans Symphony.

He loved his model airplanes and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Corbett Adams Tidwell, whom he married June 11, 2005; two daughters and their husbands, Lynn Carley and Bryan Bates of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jenifer Paige Tidwell and Richard Carreiro of Arlington, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Delane) Cox of Bentonville, Ark.; and two grandsons.

<B>TIDWELL </B>— A memorial service for Donald N. "Neal" Tidwell, who died Saturday, June 2, 2007, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev.
