Charles C. Uber, 90, of Bradenton, Fla., died May 25.

He was born July 19, 1916, in Chicora.

He moved to Bradenton in 1976, moved to Franklin, N.C., in 1992, and returned to Bradenton in 2000.

Mr. Uber was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Bradenton.

He graduated from Grove City College in 1939, and he was the former owner and operator of Uber's Outfitters of the Family store in Chicora.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Lois Marie, and a nephew, Edward Uber of Chicora.
