Cora J. Lachesky
Cora J. Lachesky, 83, of Meadow Lake Manor at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington, formerly of Butler, died Tuesday at Meadow Lake.
Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Butler, she was the daughter of Cecil and Blanche Long Graham.
Mrs. Lachesky was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and playing bingo.
She was a member of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge of Butler and the ladies auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion of Lyndora.
Surviving are four daughters, Mary Lou Bruschi of Butler, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Podobensky of Lyndora, Diana Kowal of Butler, and Mrs. Randy (Anna) Rottman of Chicora; three sons, John Lachesky of Chicora and James and George Lachesky, both of Butler; a sister, Goldie Hackett of Butler; 17 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, John Lachesky, whom she married on Jan. 1, 1944, died Feb. 24, 1973. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-grandson, three brothers, a sister and an infant sister.
<B>LACHESKY</B> — Friends of Cora J. Lachesky, who died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Bupp, her church pastor, and Tom Spiker, chaplain of the Medi Home Hospice of Lower Burrell, officiating.
