Monday — Police charged RichardNeil McClelland Jr., 24, no known address, with theft for allegedly failing to deliver a minivan that he agreed to sell to a Butler woman.Carol Rose told police that McClellland on June 6 cashed a $500 check she wrote for the van, which she never got.Butler Township police said McClelland drove the van, containing an all-terrain vehicle that he had allegedly stolen from a township dealership, to Virginia. Police said he tried to sell the ATV to another dealer in Virginia.The defendant is charged with theft in both the city and township cases; he also is charged with receiving stolen property in the township case.
Sunday — A silver and black BMX Mongoose bicycle was stolen between 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday from the Lawsonham Street home of James Schrecengost in Rimersburg, Clarion County.
