Schnur 50th anniversary
Kenneth and Nancy Schnur of Chicora will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a Mass Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, followed by a dinner in the church hall.
The former Nancy Ritzert married Schnur June 29, 1957, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
They have five children, Marjorie Shaner of Palm Harbor, Fla.; Tammy Bowser of Chicora; Marsha Seybert and Terry Schnur, both of Butler; and Jeffery Schnur of Karns City. Another daughter, Carol Schnur, is deceased.
They also have 10 grandchildren.
Schnur retired from Penreco, where he worked as a plant mechanic for 33 years. He enjoys singing, watching baseball, walking and being outdoors.
Mrs. Schnur is a homemaker. She belongs to a card club and enjoys reading, sewing and making quilts.
The couple belongs to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Schnur is a member of the Christian Mothers Group.
