Cooper 50th anniversary
Clifford and Ruth Cooper of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at North Main Street Church of God.
The former Ruth Leonard married Cooper June 22, 1957, at First Church of God in New Castle.
They have three children, Linda Alwine, Shirley Bruner and Sharon Bartmas, all of Butler.
They also have eight grandchildren.
Cooper is retired from Pullman Standard. He is a member of Connoquenessing Indian bowling league.
Mrs. Cooper is retired from Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Butler Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse. She is a member of the Red Bonnets and Bifocals chapter of the Red Hat Society.
The couple belongs to North Main Street Church of God, where they attend Bible Foundation Sunday school classes. Mrs. Cooper is also active in the 60 Plus or Minus and Women of the Church of God groups at the church.
