David 'Bill' Burk

David W. "Bill" Burk, 82, of Butler died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1924, in Emlenton, he was the son of David J. and Minnie Pearl McKissick Burk.

He was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Donna M. Wilson Burk, whom he married Nov. 14, 1953; two sons, Dale Burk and his wife, Anne, and Donn Burk and his wife, Stacey, all of Butler; six grandchildren, Andrew, Gary, Victoria, Derek, Amber and Ashley; and a sister-in-law, Celia Burk of Florida.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; two sisters, Sara Kohlmeyer and Jean Anderson, and a brother, Guy Burk.

<B>BURK</B> — Friends of David W. "Bill" Burk, who died Saturday, May 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lisa Grant, pastor of Christ Community United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
