ZELIENOPLE — The Strand Theater Initiative is seeking volunteers for its Summer Classic Film Series to begin July 6.

Films are shown Fridays and Saturdays on the theater's back lawn. Three or four volunteers are needed for each showing.

The YWCA of Butler will host a bus trip July 11 to the Riverside Inn dinner theater in Cambridge Springs.The trip will include transportation, a stop at the Old Market House in Meadville, lunch and the show "Have a Nice Day," a 1970s musical program.The bus will depart at 9:30 a.m. from Moraine Pointe Plaza and will return at 5 p.m. Cost is $70. The following strawberry festivals are planned:<B>Middlesex Presbyterian Church in America</B>, 116 Church Road, Middlesex Township, will host a strawberry festival at 5 p.m. Friday.Dinner and strawberry dessert items will be available for purchase.<B>Wolf Creek Presbyterian Church</B>, Route 108, Worth Township, will host a strawberry festival and spoon supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinner and strawberry desserts will be sold a la carte.The event is hosted by the church's Workers' Class, which will use proceeds for the replacement of the church basement stairs and other projects.

HARMONY — The Harmony Moose Lodge, 607 Mercer Street, will host a car cruise and flea market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.The car cruise is also open to trucks and motorcycles.If it rains, the event will be held Sunday. For details, call 724-452-9068.

BUTLER TWP — APets on Parade event, featuring food, prizes, pet portraits and a rabies clinic, will be held at noon Saturday at Sam's Club, 200 Moraine Pointe Plaza.Cost is $8 for each rabies vaccination. Proceeds will benefit the Children's Miracle Network Campaign at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.Notices, in writing, of festivals, fundraising events, newly elected officers and other news from clubs and nonprofit groups should be sent to the Focus department one week in advance of the event.
