Moorhead

Irene Moorhead of Leesburg will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house hosted by her family. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. June 23 in the fellowship hall of Leesburg Presbyterian Church.

Moorhead was born June 26, 1917. She married the late Carl Sonntag on Jan. 1, 1936. She married Wythe Moorhead on Oct. 8, 1992.

She has three children, Lee Sonntag of Grove City, Bill Sonntag of Harmony and Dennis Sonntag of Leesburg. Another son, Tim Sonntag, is deceased. She also has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moorhead worked for 19 years as a building clerk for the Grove City School District. She was on the committee that raised funds to transform the Leesburg Elementary School basement into a cafeteria.

She is a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Springfield Township. She also belongs to the Slippery Rock Line Dancers.

She enjoys fishing, playing shuffleboard and spending her winters in St. Cloud, Fla.
