Charles and Lucille Blakeley

Charles and Lucille Blakeley of Saxonburg celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday at the Runway Restaurant in Penn Township, a lawn party at the family's residence and a bonfire at the home of Mary Lou Cypher.

The former Lucille Bachman married Blakeley June 25, 1937, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Jefferson Township.

They have a daughter, Sandra Blakeley Sweesy. Ason, Donald Blakeley, is deceased.

They also have two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Blakeley is retired from DuCo Ceramics in Saxonburg. He is a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.

Mrs. Blakeley is retired from Chester Paul and Sons General Store. She enjoys bingo and bridge clubs.

The couple belongs to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
