Robert W. Shriver

Robert W. Shriver, 85, of 260 Briar Hill Road, Kittanning, died Sunday at his home.

Born June 12, 1921, in Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of John F. Shriver and June Mae Davis.

He was a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation foreman, a retired laborer in Union Local 952, and a World War II veteran.

Mr. Shriver was also a charter member of the Coudersport Consistory and Seneca Lodge 805 in Kittanning.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing and listening to bluegrass music.

Surviving are his daughter, Norma Chiappini (Michael) of Butler; two sons, Robert W. Shriver Jr. of Kittanning and John A. Shriver (Patricia Hornyak) of Kittanning; five grandchildren, Jennifer Lukowsky, Tiffany Gregory and Andrew, Eric and Aaron Shriver; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman Shriver (Mary Lou) of Kittanning; and a close companion, Aldora Clever of Kittanning.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 43 years, Betty Jean Reesman Shriver; and a brother, John Franklin Shriver.

<B>SHRIVER </B>— Friends of Robert W. Shriver, who died Sunday, May 13, 2007, may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home</B>, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John W. Snyder, pastor of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Kittanning, officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
