David W. Wentworth, 71, of Huselton Drive died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 11, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Edward and Nell Parshall Wentworth.

He was an alumni of Allegheny College and was a retired agent for the Elder Insurance Agency.

Mr. Wentworth was a member of the Butler Country Club and the Westview Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a former member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Butler Kiwanis Club and the YMCA Board of Directors.

He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing and boating.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "Kate" Elder Wentworth, who he married May 6, 1961; two sons, David R. Wentworth and his wife, Jeanne, of Ben Avon and Douglass E. Wentworth of Dallas, Texas; and a granddaughter, Alessandra Wentworth of Ben Avon.

<B>WENTWORTH </B>— There will be no public visitation. A funeral service for David W. Wentworth, who died Saturday, May 5, 2007, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. with the Rev. Bruce Geary, pastor of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, officiating.
