Three Butler County Horseshoe League members won their respective classes at the Ed Blum Memorial Tournament in New Castle recently.

Butch Neff finished first in Class B, Vern Schrecongost was first in Class C and Homer Page claimed first in Class A 30-foot.

Slippery Rock University's Jennifer Hansen and Jeff Weiss were named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete and Men's Track Athlete of the Year, respectively.The Rock's Jennifer Harpp and Chris Warning were named PSACRookies of the Year, and SRU's John Papa was named Women's Track Coach of the Year.Hansen was a national runner-up in the pole vault while Weiss set the PSACrecord in the 5,000 meters and finished fourth nationally in the 10,000 meters.Harpp qualified for nationals in the 5,000 meters and Warning won the PSACtitle in the discus.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Billy Donovan is out in Orlando, and his cold feet could cost both him and the Magic.The Magic finally let Donovan out of a $5.5 million annual deal Wednesday after news broke days ago he was having second thoughts.Orlando is still coachless, and could miss out on second choice Stan Van Gundy if the Sacramento Kings hire him quickly.Donovan walked out of his first NBA job after just six days to return to Gainesville, where he won the last two national titles.

PARIS — Rafael Nadal moved closer to a third straight French Open title, beating 1998 champion Carlos Moya 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 in the quarterfinals Wednesday.The second-seeded Spaniard, who is 19-0 in his career at the French Open, has not dropped a set in the tournament this year. He next faces Novak Djokovic, who reached his first Grand Slam semifinal by beating Igor Andreev of Russia 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.Nadal is 3-1 against Djokovic, but the Serb beat Nadal in the quarterfinals at Key Biscayne, Florida, in March.Djokovic becomes the third Serb to reach the semifinals. Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic reached the women's semifinals on Tuesday.

DAVIE, Fla. — Trent Green's long-awaited trade to the Miami Dolphins finally got done Wednesday, after he passed a physical and was acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2008.The deal was finished hours after Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller and coach Cam Cameron told Daunte Culpepper they would try to trade him, essentially ending his one-year stint in South Florida.Culpepper is due to make $5.5 million this season and is still trying to recover from surgery to repair three torn right knee ligaments, an injury suffered in 2005 when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
