Lots for tots
Children enjoy a story during the opening of the Broad Street Playground on June 11, 1968, at the old Broad Street school in Butler. Summer Tot Lot activities included puzzles, games, arts and crafts, coloring contests, hiking, swimming and picnic outings. About 25 children turned out for the opening that morning, but the heat thinned the crowd to 15 by mid-afternoon.
