Theresa Bain, 84, of Butler died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born March 21, 1923, in Queens Junction, Clay Township, she was the daughter of Dominic and RoseMarie Zappia Amendolea.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Missionary Society and was a teacher and superintendent of the beginner department for years. She also was a member of the Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are her husband, John W. Bain, whom she married March 21, 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Alex (JoAnna) Kulin III of Butler; a son, John Lee Bain of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Christine Keller of Butler; a brother, Joseph Amendolea of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
