Betty Jane Buchanan, 77, of Butler died at 6:10 a.m. today at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Butler, she was the daughter of McKinley Perry Duncan and Nellie Stark Duncan.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting, quilting, knitting, crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, George H. Buchanan, whom she married Oct. 26, 1961; a daughter, Joyce Buchanan of Butler; two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings.

<B>BUCHANAN </B>— Friends of Betty Jane Buchanan, who died Thursday, May 3, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Mathias, pastor of the Concord Presbyterian Church, officiating. Private burial will be at the Concord Cemetery.
