The Brodmerkels in 1957

Bruce and Donna Brodmerkel of Chicora celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a vacation to Hawaii.

Brodmerkel married the former Donna Jameson on May 24, 1957, at the Fairview Presbyterian Church.

They have five children, Bruce Brodmerkel of Derry; Chris Brodmerkel of Indiana, Pa.; Curt Brodmerkel of Karns City; Beth Beeler of Pittsburgh; and Lori Kwasnicka of Ohio.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Brodmerkel retired after 40 years of employment at Witco Chemical in Petrolia.

Mrs. Brodmerkel was employed at Bobbie Brooks until its closing.

The couple belongs to St. Paul's Community Church in Chicora.
