Butler Church of the NazareneThe Senior Adult Ministry of Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, Butler Township, will sponsor a trip to the Glass Blowing Center on Friday. Christ Community U.M.The Rustees, retired members of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. Friday to continue working on projects. New members are welcome.The Adult Mission Work Team will depart for Conklin, N.Y., Saturday to work on homes damaged by recent flooding.Pentecost Sunday will be celebrated at the 10 a.m. Sunday service. The Pentacost service will be the only service this weekend. Members are encouraged to wear red. "The Faith We Sing" hymnal supplements will be dedicated during the service.

Christ's OutreachA four-week new member and informational class will begin at 7 p.m. June 6. Community LifeCommunion will be observed during the 10:15 a.m. Sunday service at Community Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School.Prayer in the Park will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays in the Lori Bauer Shelter at Butler Memorial Park.The next youth group meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 7 at the home of the Ogles.The youth will depart at 8:30 a.m. June 16 for a trip to Kennywood.A free car wash will be held from noon to 3 p.m. June 23 at Wendy's, New Castle Road, Butler Township.

Covenant PresbyCovenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate Pentecost during the 11 a.m. Sunday service with an outdoor service under a tent in the side yard. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated.Following the service there will be an all-church picnic. Worshippers should take a side dish and/or dessert to share. Meat, rolls and beverages will be provided by the Fellowship and Outreach Committee.The Apportionment Offering will be received at the 11 a.m. Sunday service. The offering is $24 per member to support the work of the local presbytery, as well as the synod and General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Noisy Offering of loose change will also be received during the service.The Joint Kerygma Course with Saint Andrews and Faith Presbyterian churches will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant. The course is entitled "Discovering the Psalms: Passion, Promise, and Praise."

First English LutheranPentecost will be celebrated with Holy Communion at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St. The 11 a.m. service will be a contemporary service.There will be no community dinner Monday at the church.

Glade Run U.P.Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will observe Pentecost at the Sunday services.The church offices will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day.There will be no youth group on Sunday and no middle school youth group Wednesday.Summer Sunday school will begin June 3. North Main Street Church of GodThe office at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. The Lord's Supper will be served. A soup and salad luncheon will follow the service.The Pentecost Offering of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will be received during the Sunday service. Zion U.M.The women's group of Zion United Methodist Church, Bear Creek Road, Sarver, will collect school kits May 27 to June 3.
