Six of the eight children of Louis and Mary Varljen, originally of Cabot, and their spouses recently gathered to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Robert and Matilda Varljen Wolfe, seated. Standing from left are John Varljen and his wife, Shirley, who have been married 51 years; Chester and Emma Varljen Michalski, who have been married 59 years; Frank Varljen, who was married 51 years to his wife, Luise, who died in 2006; Charles and Mary Varljen Heist, married 61 years; and Aloysius "Skip" and Viola "Min" Varljen Green, married 54 years. Another brother Louis and his wife, Mary Varljen, of Bonita Springs, Fla., have been married 47 years. Sibling Leo Varljen and his wife Florence are deceased.
