The Lucases in 1957

Joe and Dottie Lucas of Mars will celebrate 50 years of marriage Friday. They will celebrate with a cocktail party Sunday given by their children and grandsons. A Mass of Celebration in their honor will follow at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars.

The former Dorothy Ford married Lucas on May 25, 1957, in McKees Rocks.

They have four children, Joseph Lucas of Greensburg, Elaine Gray of Canonsburg, Laurel Leitzel of Mechanicsburg, and Catherine Baxter of Mars.

They also have six grandsons.Mr. Lucas is retired from J&L Steel in Aliquippa, where he worked as a welder for 25 years.Mrs. Lucas is retired from the Pines Tavern as the front receptionist and hostess.The couple belongs to St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church.
