Joseph and Sarah Furka

Joseph and Sarah Furka of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

Furka married the former Sarah Space on May 17, 1947, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora.

They have three children, Maryella Metrick, Joseph Furka and Robert Furka, all of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren, a great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.Mr. Furka worked construction as a member of Local 323 for 37 years.Mrs. Furka is a homemaker.The couple belongs to St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
