BCCC president could be leaving for a new job
Azari
Butler County Community College President Cynthia Azari may leave the college.
"I am a finalist for another position," she said Monday evening.
She expects to know in two weeks about that job, which she said is in the West. She did not reveal the location of the job.
She said she has not yet offered her resignation to the college's board of trustees. Her current contract runs through June 2008.
Azari, who has held her position since 2002, is the college's first woman and its first Mexican-American president.
The college has 3,800 students.
Azari came to BC3 from Olympic College in Bremerton, Wash., where she was vice president of instruction.
She replaced Fred Bartok, who retired.
