Christ Community U.M.Volunteers in all service areas at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township, will be recognized at a brunch at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in Oz Hall. Christ's OutreachThe Bike Blessing prayer partners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave. Volunteers will meet at 7 p.m. Friday in the gym. More volunteers are needed.The Blessing of the Bikes will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Riders will register at Zannotti's and will travel to Christ's Outreach Church for the Bike Blessing. Hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverages will be provided. Following the blessing, riders will participate in a 50- to 75-mile ride, ending at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center to visit with patients between 2 and 2:30 p.m.Volunteers are still needed to bake at least three dozen cookies for the Bike Blessing. Frozen dough is available at the church for those unable to make their own. Cookies must be delivered to the church by Friday.Youth attending the Fun-Fore-All Activity Center event Friday will leave the church at 6:45 p.m. and return at 10:15 p.m. Cost is $10, which includes unlimited go-carts, bumper boats, miniature golf, batting cages and other activities.
Community LifeSign-ups are being held at Community Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, for the summer series based on "The Way of the Master." Meetings will be held at 7:15 p.m. Wednesdays beginning June 6 at the YWCA.The next youth group meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 24 at the home of the Ogles.
Covenant PresbyThe Covenant Choir and director Beverly Atis will be honored during the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. A reception in their honor, hosted by the worship and music committee, will be held during the Fellowship Hour following worship.Linda Day will lead the Seekers Class on Sunday.
