2:08 a.m. today — Robert Kummer, 36, of Clay Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Virginia Avenue. An officer arrested Kummer on Vero Street after the defendant ran from his sport utility vehicle in a failed bid to get away.In addition to DUI, Kummer is charged with driving with a suspended license-DUI related and disorderly conduct.4:38 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at West New Castle Street and Fifth Avenue.Police said the crash occurred when a car driven by Daniel Mackiewicz, 21, of Butler collided with a car driven by Terry Snow, 49, of Hilliards. Mackiewicz's car, after the collision, struck a car driven by Steven Beck, 43, of Butler.Beck was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Mackiewicz, who suffered unknown injuries, was cited for making an illegal left turn.

12:57 a.m. Sunday — Harry Herko Jr., 30, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Sixth Avenue.Police said Herko also faces charges of driving with a suspended license, driving too fast for conditions, a lane violation and altered, forged or counterfeit documents.12:08 a.m. Sunday — Colby Nicholas, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI following a hit-and-run crash on Route 8 at Armco Hill.Police said that in addition to DUI, Nicholas faces charges of accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, failure to give information and render aid after a crash, reckless driving and a lane violation.

5:20 a.m. Sunday — Corey Manuel, 23, of West Sunbury was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle got stuck on a set of Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad tracks in Karns City.2:43 a.m. Sunday — Melissa Miller, 19, of Hubbard, Ohio, was arrested for drunken driving on Route 38 near Blair Road in Venango Township. Miller, in addition to DUI, also is charged with not stopping at a stop sign and a lane violation.2:15 a.m. Sunday — Mark Deal, 36, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of DUI while operating an all-terrain vehicle at Route 68 and Steighner Alley in Chicora.

7 p.m. May 8 — A pickup truck driven by Frederick Tregaskes, 70, of Templeton struck two cars at Routes 28 and 66 in Rayburn Township, Armstrong County.Police cited Tregaskes for driving too fast for conditions. Charles Starr, 56, of Bakerstown, Allegheny County, and Ronald Spence, 70, of Kittanning were driving the cars.

Tuesday — Police reported that sometime over the past two months, a compound hunting bow was stolen from a garage in a burglary at the Highpoint Drive home of Michael Herndon in Pine Township, Mercer County.
