Bowser

Phyllis Marie Bowser, 85, of Main Street, Rimersburg, died at her home after an illness.

Born in Toby Township, Clarion County, Feb. 14, 1922, she was a daughter of Herbert Bowser, who died in February 1974, and Nellie Shields Bowser, who died in December 1985.

She was a member of the Rimersburg United Methodist Church.

She had graduated from Rimersburg High School in 1941. During World War II, she was a secretary at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. She then graduated from The Butler Business College and lived in Pittsburgh, where she was a secretary for 38 years at the Pittsburgh Plumbing and Heating Co.

She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club in Pittsburgh and was past president of the Mount Lebanon Club.

Following retirement, she moved back to Rimersburg.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Zona Voltz, who died March 17, 1991, and Dorothy Lucille Bonnett, who died Oct. 26, 2003.

Surviving are a niece, Martha McGinley; a nephew, George Bonnett; two cousins, Glenn Conner of Kissinger Mill and Robert Donaldson of Emlenton, and her caregivers, Alex and Carol MacKinlay of Rimersburg.

<B>BOWSER</B> — Friends of Phyllis Marie Bowser will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the <B>Richard d. Hillis funeral home</B>, 758 Main St., Rimersburg. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Evans, Clarion Forest VNA Hospice chaplain, officiating. Private burial will be at the Rimersburg Cemetery.
