Margot G. Jones
Margot G. Jones of Pittsburgh passed away Friday after a 15-month battle with melanoma that she handled with incredible grace and courage.
She was a teacher at Carlow College as part of its campus school program. Margot initially taught second grade and then helped institute the college's pre-kindergarten program.
She had a great love of family, music, art, travel and children. Margot volunteered through the years for Pittsburgh Cares, the Children's Institute and several other organizations.
Surviving are her husband, Lance W. Jones; daughters, Moira E. and Maeve M. Jones, all of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Ellen Murray, Mimi Lahoda and Anne Gutierrez; three brothers, J. Ledlie Gloninger, John Gloninger and Edward Gloninger; her mother-in-law, Alison G. Jones of Butler; a sister-in-law, Kristi Jones Caplan of Butler; a brother-in-law Larry G. Jones; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
