8 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by a 16-year-old girl was hit by a car driven by Matthew Grossi of Butler when she pulled in front of Grossi while turning at Mercer and East Brewster roads. Neither was injured and the girl was cited for failing to stop and yield.Thursday — Gerald Richard Porter, 51, no address given, was arrested in Slippery Rock Township for failure to register as a sexual offender under Megan's Law. He was arraigned and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond.3:40 p.m. Wednesday — A chain-reaction accident occurred when Robert Bullman, 47, of Petrolia, stopped his car suddenly at Route 268 and Horne Road in Fairview Township. This caused the car driven by Amber Reckner, 18, of Karns City to hit the rear of a car driven by Timothy Lowmaster, 48, of Meadville. Bullman's car had minor damage. No one was injured and no charges were filed. Both the Bruin and Petrolia fire departments responded.

9:21 p.m. May 2 — A vehicle driven by David Hamblen, 46, of 1244 E. Brady St., Butler, was traveling south on Lindsay Road, Route 528, when he slowed to avoid hitting a rabbit in the road and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Jeff Smith, 43, of 813 Deep Lake Drive, Cranberry Township. Smith nor the three passengers in his vehicle were injured. Hamblen was treated for minor injuries. Smith was cited by police for failing to drive at safe speeds.1:52 a.m. May 2 — Vicky Hlinka, 56, of 170 Oakdale Dr., Zelienople, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disregard of traffic lane after police witnessed her weaving between lanes on Route 19 near the North Star Pontiac car dealership.4:36 p.m. May 1 — Thomas Rinne, 55, of 202 Gristmill Circle, Zelienople, was charged with driving under the influence and driving on the right side of the road following a traffic stop on Gristmill after police witnessed the vehicle cross the centerline on several occasions.8:19 p.m. May 1 — James Stephen Birsic, 53, of Pittsburgh was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to obey duties at a stop sign. Police had conducted a traffic stop on Hartmann Road after witnessing the man's vehicle run a stop sign.

6:45 p.m. Wednesday — Christine George, 16, of Wexford is charged with failing to stay in her lane of traffic after a two-car accident on North Towner Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County. George's car hit the corner of a car driven by Sharon Babel, 29, of Ellwood City, damaging Babel's car's tie rod. Neither George, Babel, nor George's passenger, Ann George, 50, of Wexford, were injured.State Police, Kittanning4 a.m., May 2 — Devin Milliken, 22, of Worthington hit an embankment with his car on Beatty Mill Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, while trying to avoid a deer. He then fled on foot. Milliken was later taken to ACMH Hospital for minor head and neck strain. He is charged with failure to wear his seat belt.
