Bernard "Bernie" J. Marshalek, 77, of Belmont Road, Butler Township, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 7, 1929, in Marion Heights, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Shiko Marshalek.

He was a pharmacist at various pharmacies. He owned and operated Bernie's Flea-Mart.

He attended St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. He was an alumni of University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy class of 1961. He was an avid record collector.

He is survived by his wife, Doris M. Hays Marshalek, whom he married Oct. 15, 1966. Also surviving are two daughters, Regina A. Tabor of San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. David (Mary T.) Metzler of Devon; a son, Bernard J. Marshalek of Pittsburgh; and four granddaughters, Anna and Stephanie Tabor, and Carolyn and Julia Enyart.

North St.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Marion Heights.Members of St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at the church at 9:35 a.m.
